WORK OBJECTIVE
Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance of park grounds, landscaping, athletic fields and/or facilities, depending on area of assignment.
Operates a variety of tools, equipment, and vehicles in the operation, repair, and maintenance of City parks, beaches, athletic fields and/or facilities, centers, and buildings.
Work is performed under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.

Must have or obtain first Aid, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External (AED) certifications within three (3) months of hire.
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO), Certified Playground Inspector (CPSI), Certified Arborist, Commercial Landscape Maintenance Applicator, and Ornamental and/or Certified Horticulture Professional designations preferred, depending on area of assignment.
May be required to have or obtain additional formal industry certification(s) based on area of assignment.
Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment.
Must have a valid Florida driver's license with satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
Must have or be able to obtain a Class B commercial driver’s license within six (6) months of employment.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
