1950s Eero Saarinen for Knoll Associates BR51 Tulip Chair With Pad - $650 (Margate)

This is a very Early Eero Saarinen for Knoll Associates BR51 Tulip Chair With original Knoll Pad.
This single chair retains the wonderful Knoll 'bowtie' logo with the early Madison Avenue address.
It also has no date stamp which indicates it was likely a first-rum production piece from around 1958-9.
This will make the chair quite desirable to collectors of original Knoll pieces.
The fiberglass shell sits upon the typical early non-swivel BR51 aluminum base.
For it's age this chair is in remarkably good condition.
There is some typical 'hand wear' to the top left corner of the shell and a few small chips around the seat edges (see images).
Other than that it has only a few minor marks The original Knoll pad with label has no damage and only minor use wear.
These early Tulip chairs are rarely in perfect condition, but this one is a very nice relatively unblemished example that will no doubt please discerning collectors.
Tulip chairs work great as singles, adding interest to any room.
They make great corner bedroom chairs, dressing chairs, or desk chairs.
