POSITION GOAL
The Student Support Instructional Specialist will assist in the identification of students in need of mental health services provided by internal and/or external mental health professionals.
This will also include offering a continuum of supports that include prevention, intervention, and intensive strategies that meet the needs of individual students where a student may otherwise be at-risk or in crisis.
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
An earned bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or related field from an accredited institution.
A minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in the mental health field.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with youth.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, community agency partners, and families.
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Computer skills as required for the position.
