Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and family therapy sessions to address behavioral, emotional, and mental health issues.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
- Provide behavior management strategies and interventions to promote positive change.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose developmental disabilities and special needs.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), to facilitate client growth and healing.
- Provide counseling for individuals and families
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal requirements.
- Adhere to professional standards of practice and ethical guidelines.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques and interventions.
- Familiarity with coding systems, such as ICD-10, for accurate diagnosis and billing purposes.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and special education needs.
- Proficient in conducting clinical research to inform evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and other professionals.
- Empathy, compassion, and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address complex family dynamics and challenges.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries while providing therapeutic support.
