Job Title: Home Health Aide
Duties:
- Provide personal care and assistance to clients in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Prepare meals and assist with meal planning and preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up
- Follow all HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Provide specialized care for clients with dementia or developmental disabilities
Skills:
- Experience in providing care for individuals with dementia or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and ability to accurately record and report findings
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Familiarity with nursing home or home care settings and procedures
- Proficiency in medication administration, including proper dosage and documentation
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
