This new group is a part of the Finance department and will be responsible for leading the implementation of new processes in support of the Executive Team’s Strategic Initiatives.
Focus will be on optimizing our profit margins by analyzing and implementing proper controls around both our supplier and customer pricing.
In addition to this key function, the Senior Manager, Pricing will partner with our Business Intelligence team to automate current reporting functions and mentor other business leaders in utilizing these new tools to manage their business.
The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with a hands-on approach to analyze and communicate findings from large data sets.
They will be building a new team which will require experience in developing and measuring process improvements with tangible benefits to the bottom line.
This group will be involved in both ends of our pricing strategy.
Evaluating and optimizing prices paid to our factory suppliers and prices charged to our customers with an emphasis on margin growth.
What you'll be doing: Provide data and analytical support to our Product Development Teams in both the US and our China offices.
Identify areas of opportunity and establish processes to effectively manage factory negotiations Have a pulse on the macro-economic environment and advise on possible risks to our profitability.
Examples of such risks include currency rates, tariffs, legislation, global supply chain capacity, commodity prices, and labor markets.
Learn Jazwares Pricing Model in order to propose optimized price targets by product line and develop processes to measure compliance to recommended targets.
Manage exceptions around pricing guidelines based on shipping method and customer sales channel.
Lead monthly pricing/margin reviews with the Sales Team.
Ability to identify whitespace opportunities in our product lines based on retail price structures and historical performance.
Develop a vendor scorecard to assess Factory performance and monitor corrective actions Develop inventory controls to evaluate risk both in Asia our warehouses in the US and Europe Partner with Planning and Brand Teams to monitor and manage inventory at the store level for our key retail partners.
Build and maintain a process to proactively identify margin opportunities in our supplier and customer pricing proactively in advance of contractual commitments.
Deliver timely item forecast information to our product development team.
This function will require collaboration with our Sales and Planning teams to assess and communicate the latest data to aid in factory negotiations.
Review performance of our key customer accounts.
Identify areas of opportunity and communicate to leadership recommended pricing changes to optimize margin levels.
Represent the Finance and Strategy teams in a cross functional team that will review and redesign our current Standard Operating Procedures.
Influence these revised processes to be efficient while providing internal controls around margin targets.
Manages People: Yes This role is responsible for managing their designated team including performance and talent management, assigning and evaluating work, and providing mentorship and guidance to others.
What we look for: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting required.
5+ years of experience in accounting operations or a relevant finance function.
3+ years of leadership experience Hands-on leader willing to dive into data at the most granular level in order to understand the business.
Strong quantitative intuition and data visualization skills for ad-hoc and exploratory analysis in Excel or Tableau Experience effectively communicating complex analyses to a non-technical and diverse audience.
Executive presentation skills are a must.
Proven track record of delivering business value by making recommendations utilizing data insights.
Flexible to effectively manage competing timelines and priorities Ability to effectively deal with diverse people throughout all levels of the organization Experience in a global company Working Conditions: Environment: Office Extreme Exposures: None Schedule: Typically requires regular office hours Physical Requirements: Lift up to 10 lbs.
